The Yar-Craft 2197 CC was designed to bring the benefits of a center console layout to walleye fisherman. Yar-Craft has been building some of the finest walleye boats in the world for many years and this boat was well received by their dealers. It was also developed with an eye toward the popular bay boat market.

The 2197 CC is built on the same hull as the 2197 DC, so it shares that model's good handling and high speeds. Back aft is a large live

well with a divider. A baitwell is forward below the seat on the front of the console. Rod racks are outboard of the console on both sides, while a large storage area is provided on the centerline forward. The large console gives good protection from the elements. Electronic storage is plentiful and there is additional storage below the console. The 2197 CC features all composite construction and a full inner liner.

For the first time, I modeled the console myself using Ashlar-Vellum Argon. The rest of the deck was built using my 2D drawings created in Ashlar-Vellum Graphite. The deck and console plugs and molds were built by Marine Concepts in Cape Coral, Florida.

This model, as well as the rest of the Yar-Craft line, is being built in their state-of-the-art factory in Wausau, Wisconsin.
