Here you can see Mike has had to run the grain the wrong way on a couple of planks in order to get them to bend in without breaking. He also had to cut partial splits in a couple up toward the sheer where the bend is particularly nasty. I gave Mike my blessing on the grain change for a few planks due to the tight bends. It shouldn't cause any problems as the boat is pretty heavily built in the topsides, especially with a layer of 1808 fiberglass going over the outside later!
