Primed and near catastrophe! The casters were really only meant for rolling the boat around the smooth concrete of the shop. The 2 x 4 wasn't sturdy enough for the rough pavement outside and broke where the caster was installed. Luckily the bow flare didn't hit the ground, but it came close! Evidently the framing has come loose a bit underneath, but with the hull structurally complete, it doesn't really matter. Ben repaired the damage with a 4 x 4, covered her up and then took off for a trip to Tuscany. When he gets back it will be time for more sanding and the final paint. Then he can flip her over and start on the inside. Ben and Jim are doing an amazing job, I can't wait to see her right side up!
