First layer going on the bottom! Back aft you can run the planking lengthwise as the loads are much lower and the bottom shape is easy to plank. At the end of the full sheet, you cut an angle to set up your narrower, cross planks. While Ben has chosen to cut them all the same width, you could cut them wider back aft and then narrower as you progress forward. Just make sure the planks are following the bottom shape well.
